Visa Process

To apply for your visa, click on the following link:  : https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html
Before you begin your application, you must have your passport ready. You can apply for your visa up to one month in advance.
1. Then select "Apply here for e-visa" in the bottom left corner:

2. The "e-Visa Application" page will appear.
2-1 Select your nationality and passport type.

There are several options for choosing your passport. For most people, you should select "ordinary passport."

2-2 Then select your arrival airport in India from the "Port of Arrival" drop-down list. If you have a stopover in another city in India, the final city is the one that counts (e.g., Paris -> Delhi stopover without leaving the airport -> Bangalore, in which case you must select Bangalore):

Note: The airport names in the "Port of Arrival" drop-down list are the Hindi names of the cities, not the names given to them by the British. Examples: for Bangalore, it's Bengaluru, Mysore -> Mysuru, etc.

2-3 Then enter your date of birth and a valid email address.

2-4 In the "Visa Service" category: Select the type of visa you will use. You must select "eTourist Visa (for 30 days)." This visa is valid for 30 days from the date of your arrival in India. If you wish to stay longer, you will need to choose a different type of visa.
You must then select the reason for your tourist visa application:
-Tourism, exploring the countryside
-Visiting friends or family, etc.
Even if you are attending our wedding, you must choose "Tourism, recreation, sightseeing":

2-5 Indicate your expected date of arrival in India in "Expected Date of Arrival." Enter the catcha in the "Please enter above text" field.

Check the box "I have read the instructions, I have all the required documents in scanned PDF format and a photograph in jpg/jpeg format." and click "Continue."

3. The "Applicant Details Form" page is displayed:

From this page, you will be assigned a temporary application ID number, which allows you to save your application and return to it later.
