21-22 February. 2026
We’ll begin with the French ceremony. This is a great opportunity to wear your Western attire or something from your own country. That said, anyone who wishes is also welcome to wear Indian attire.
This will be an Indo-French style celebration—a perfect time to relax and share a few laughs. Our Indian guests will usually perform some traditional dances, and you’re welcome to join in! Later in the evening, we’ll all move to the dance floor together. A buffet-style dinner will be served inbetween. The French tend to dance late into the night, so pace yourselves!
The haldi ceremony, generaly known as the purification ceremony will start around this time.
After the Haldi ceremony, there will be a small prayer from the groom’s side. While the bride gets ready, the groom will make his entrance with a Baraat (Indian-style wedding procession with drums) from outside the venue to the resort. Once the groom arrives, the families will exchange a prayerful greeting. After this, we’ll move on to enjoy lunch together.
Lunch will be served right after the Baraat. It will be an Indian-style buffet, with servers bringing a variety of dishes directly to your plate. If you’re not familiar with this tradition, be aware that the servers may keep offering more food until you politely but firmly decline!
The marriage is planned to be scheduled at 14:05. These timings are provided by Indian Brahmin priests, who determine the most auspicious moments to start the ceremony. The timings are calculated by considering the birth dates and times of the couple, as well as the Hindu calendar days that are deemed auspicious. Since there is much to explain about this, we will organize a way to go over all the rituals that take place and their significance.
